It is a 2.0l mazda diesel non turbo engine that ford put in the escort for a couple of years. The exterior is good with no dents or scratches. The interior is very good considering the age.

Now for the good part, the engine does not blow any type of smoke! I start it regularily with no smoke and 1-2 cranks. It got a new starter recently and that seems to take care of the early morning smoke. Runs really strong and will get around 45 on the highway. The only problems are the power steering leaks a little and the fuel gauge is not setup properly-goes up but doesnt read accurately. I also think it would work great for biodiesel or even a greasal project because it has a fuel filter warmer in it.
